Hello! I recently joined this community and I wanted to write a little something to introduce myself. I found out about ACEs and their effect on health when a Social Worker gave me the ACE test after I was diagnosed with late stage cancer in my early thirties. I’m happy to report that I’ve been cancer free now for over 10 years now
For the past decade, I’ve been developing my skills as a medical intuitive and energy healer, studying modalities like BodyTalk, Accunect, and Donna Eden’s energy medicine. I’ve been drawn to work with people with ACEs, since my own ACEs affected my mental and physical well-being so profoundly. I’ve found that so many of our various physical and emotional issues can be traced back to belief systems and stuck emotions from our childhood. For me, while therapy and western medicine helped with certain aspects of these issues, energy medicine was the only thing I found that was able to get to the deep underlying beliefs that I’d been holding my whole life and heal the physical and emotional diseases that they’d caused.
In working with clients with high ACE scores, I’ve found that energy healing can shift some long standing patterns in my clients that they haven’t been able change in the past. I really do believe that the physical manifestations of things like cancer, heart disease, etc that we see much more of in those with high ACE scores are due to holding these pathological emotional patterns and belief systems for years. Also, the feelings of not being safe cause cortisol to rise, which causes body wide inflammation, which has been found to me the culprit underlying sooooo many diseases.
Working with people with high ACE scores is really satisfying work for me and I feel like I’m “paying it forward” since my first practitioner was also an ACE survivor herself, who overcame multiple sclerosis through this type of healing. If anyone wants to learn more, please PM me, I’m always happy to share what I’ve learned/gained through this kind of work with others. Or you can visit my site at www.megancaper.com and read a bit more about me and what I do and schedule a chat, if you’d like.
