Rethinking Sciences ~ Epigenetics: Winter Colloquium on 11/10/15

Alliant International University is proudly hosting a Winter Colloquium on November 10th from 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm on campus. Rachel Yehuda, PhD, is a Professor of Psychiatry and Neuroscience at the lcahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Director of the Mental Health Patient Care Center at the James J. Peters Bronx Veterans Affairs Hospital, both in New York City.

A Discussion on the Impact of Trauma and Stress on Integrated Care Systems will include;

* Understand biological response to stress and how this has changed over time and in response to stressors like trauma

* Interpret the influence of intergenerational factors n Discover and apply Trauma Informed and Integrated Health best practices

* Indicate epigenetic mechanisms

* Recognize in utero influences on development of psychiatric vulnerability
