Position Summary
The Associate Director is a full-time position and is responsible for working with the Chapter Regional Director on the following tasks: organizing and implementing signature fundraising events including Out of the Darkness Walks; implementing approved programs including survivor programs, education programs, advocacy and awareness initiatives; supporting volunteer development and management for Chapter activities.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Financial oversight of budgets and business plans
- Securing sponsorships
- Managing events
- Recruiting, organizing, and supervising volunteers for programs and events
Candidate Qualifications
- 2-4 years proven fundraising success at a national health based nonprofit organization planning Walks, Special Events Fundraising and Endurance events
- Must have experience working with nonprofit Boards, developing business plans and annual budgets
- Track record managing and recruiting volunteers and program delivery
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Self-starter; ability to work with a high degree of independence
- Knowledge of assigned market area (preferred)
- Weekend and evening work will be required
- Travel is required within assigned market area and to National staff meetings and conferences
- Remote workplace
- Bachelorβs degree required
