JOIN US at Rise City Church in Lakeside for the LIVE broadcast of the Empowered To Connect Conference on April 13 & 14. Please register for this free event!

Free Simulcast Friday & Saturday, April 13th and 14th from 9 am to 5 pm. Hosted by Rise City and Rooted in Love and presented by Show Hope.

The simulcast features practical teaching in a safe and supportive community as we work to equip families, churches, and professionals to better serve children impacted by adoption and foster care. It features Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) methods developed by Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. David Cross from the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development, to help bring attachment and connection in families. The content is ideal for adoptive and foster parents, those considering adoption or foster care, and those who are serving and supporting others, including social workers, agency professionals, church staff and ministry leaders, counselors, and therapists.

We are two weeks out from the Empowered to Connect simulcast. Here are a few friendly reminders regarding the conference:

April 13th and 14th from 9:00am until 5:00 pm doors will open at 8:30 am please come early to check in, grab a coffee and find a seat.

This event is free to attend and you are more than welcome to bring any guests without registering. Please invite anyone you feel my benefit from this conference.

If you want any training hours or CEU’s you must sign in and out at our welcome table to track your hours.

We will have many San Diego community resources available and many giveaways throughout the conference.

Please bring a lunch or plan to buy one out in the community.

Foster Parent Certificates
Adoptive and foster parents in need of documentation for training or continuing education hours will receive a separate certificate each day. You will need to sign in and out each day to receive a certificate.

CEU Tracking Forms and Instructions (**Additional Registration Required **)

The Empowered to Connect Conference has been approved for 11 hours through the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). Please note simulcast viewers seeking NASW credit will be required to complete a post-test and receive a score of 80% or above to receive a certificate.
