The film Resilience, featuring a talk by the renowned physician and researcher, Dr. Vincent J. Felitti at San Diego State University (SDSU). The event is hosted by Price Philanthropies, OUTreach (SDSU's LGBTQIA Student Organization), and the Title IV-E Child Welfare Program at SDSU and is a SDSU Student Success Fee event.
The screening of the film Resilience is a follow-up to the film Paper Tigers, a sold-out event at SDSU last year. It chronicles the birth of a new movement among pediatricians, therapists, educators and communities, who are using cutting-edge research to disrupt cycles of violence, addiction, and disease. This one-hour documentary delves into the science of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the movement to treat and prevent toxic stress.
