Bravo for Nathan Fletcher. He is a true politician who is in touch with all his constituents' needs. Although caring for people's needs should not be a partisan issue, I survived 30 years of an all Republican County Board of Sups who amassed a $2 billion surplus and never had a humane policy for our county. They kept mental health services at a third world level; they left homeless policy up to the city police; they oversaw a DPH that let a Hepatitis A outbreak fester (especially among the homeless). Fletcher is transforming County government one step at a time.
