The editors at Behavioral Medicine are putting together a special issue on health and resilience and are seeking manuscripts. Submissions should "examine the various dimensions of resilience and its impact on health, with a focus on how resilience in diverse populations may shape health behaviors, health outcomes, and overall well being."
According to the submission instructions, manuscripts could consider the following:
- the biomedical, behavioral, psychosocial, and structural factors that contribute to resilience;
- the manner in which resilience is produced and manifested;
- approaches to operationalizing resilience, including challenging our underlying assumptions and understandings of resilience to-date; and
- the manner in which resilience may protective of health.
The reviewers are seeking manuscripts that "integrate and apply resilience in the fields of public health, the health professions, and the social sciences," and they will consider observational, experimental, and case studies.
