The Employment Development Department, is responding to COVID-19 on a variety of fronts.
They have developed a COVID-19 Resources webpage to keep customers, along with you and your families, fully informed about how benefits programs and services can provide some financial support if needed.
The job center in San Luis Obispo (America’s Job Center of California) located at 880 Industrial Way has closed until further notice.
The Employment Development Department (EDD) representatives from that office have been temporarily transferred to the Santa Maria Workforce Office. Although we are not able to see anyone face-to-face, we can assist with general questions over the phone. The phone number for the Santa Maria office is (805) 863-9300.
Representatives from the Workforce Services Branch will be available from 8 am to 5 pm. Workforce Services Branch representatives from EDD cannot file claims, however we are able to assist with general questions and direct you in the correct path.
If an individual has exhausted all avenues to apply for Unemployment, Disability and Paid Family Leave benefits this office can mail out applications.
Here are two websites to share with individuals should they ask for resources on EDD programs.
