Each year, KIDS Network celebrates the contributions of young people in Santa Barbara County by honoring individuals or groups who have made a significant positive impact in our community. The spirit of the Youth Impact Awards is to recognize youth who are outstanding because they have taken initiative to address and/or overcome adversity and have made a difference in the lives of others. Nominees may be recognized for demonstrating leadership while facing adversity in their own lives; or they may be nominated because they have devoted time, talent and energy to directly impacting the lives of other people who are experiencing adversity. One winner and two honorable mentions will be selected in each of two categories:
1. The Victory Award will be given for leadership in the face of adversity; for demonstrating extraordinary resilience and perseverance in transforming hardships or challenges into personal strengths that have positively impacted the lives of others.
2. The Champion Award will be given for outstanding service to our community; for longstanding or time-intensive volunteer service that has helped others overcome adversity through personal commitment and/or the use of creativity and innovation.
Please join us in recognizing the nominees on May 3, 2018 from 4:00-5:30pm at the Santa Barbara County Education Office Auditorium (4400 Cathedral Oaks Rd., Santa Barbara, CA 93110).
