Santa Barbara CAPC is happy to present April as Child Abuse Prevention Month! Every week we will be touching on various strategies that strengthen families, provide positive experiences for children, and reduce the risk of child abuse and neglect, with “Resilience” being the central theme. CAPC is a collaborative group dedicated to the prevention and early intervention of child abuse and neglect within the community. They enact change through raising community awareness, providing resources to parents, educating service providers, and supporting agencies providing prevention and intervention services.
Preventing child abuse and protecting children is a community responsibility, with everyone needing to take action to provide support to the families and children around us. Please tune in next week for weekly blogs from Resilient Santa Barbara County about how buffering services within the county offer opportunities for building resilience in children and families.
