ACE's Aware Provider Engagement and Communications Survey |
Introduction
The State of California has launched an important new initiative called ACEs Aware. The purpose of this effort is to work with Medi-Cal providers to increase understanding about the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) on children’s development, and to connect providers to networks in which children can be screened for ACEs and referred to services that can treat and heal the effects ACEs. FIRST 5 Santa Clara County is taking the lead on communication and provider engagement in the county as part of the ACEs Aware Initiative grant from the state.
