Comments:

  • How can this information be used in the “front end of child welfare?”
  • The movie was helpful but it would be nice to discuss how to implement ACES within our work (at CPS) through the review of a case

We did a screening of Paper Tigers at Hanna Boys Center on Wednesday, August 26, 2015. We had approximately 120 folks in attendance.  About 20 of our kids, 20 staff and about 80 guests from the community.  The feedback on the film was good.  We did not do a formal evaluation but I have spoken with about 20 attendees and all indicated the film was moving and informative.  We did a brief panel discussion after the film.  Our panelists were HS students...one from Hanna, one from Creekside Alternative HS and one from Sonoma Valley HS.  They were great and expressed appreciation for the Film.  I personally felt the movie was moving.  I thought it was a little too long.  One of the Hanna staff wrote to me after the screening and indicated the boys liked the film and were grateful to see other kids have the same problems as they do.
Many thanks for the opportunity to expose our community to this important film.  Thanks for making it possible.  What's next?
