In June, First 5 Sonoma County completed a strategic plan to better serve children and families through a coordinated home visiting system. We are now starting to execute the plan.
First 5 invites you and families in your network to join a Work Group that will lead implementation of the strategies in one of the two priority areas:
- Priority 1: Expanding culturally relevant services to underserved areas with home visiting providers who represent the communities they serve.
- Priority 2: Increasing the home visiting system's capacity and efficiency.
The Work Group will meet online each month, from August or September 2022 and through June 2023. We will schedule the meetings in collaboration with the group members. Each Work Group will have 9 members. Each home visitor and parent will receive a $1,250 stipend for their participation in the Work Group.
If you would like to join the group, please complete this interest form by Wednesday, August 24th. Participation open to leadership/management of home-based programs, home visitors or other service providers delivering services in families’ homes, and parents/family members who participate in home-based services.
