Minutes of the SCAC Membership Meeting
Present: Alea Tantarelli, Sal Strawbridge, Allen Nishikawa
Location: Poppy Room, 490 Mendocino Ave. SR
Date: Tuesday April 11, 2017, 1-2PM
- Survey Monkey Survey of Membership: The members discussed the draft survey, and Allen agreed to make some additional modifications. This included the following:
- Adding a comment box to every question
- Adding an option for proposing casual membership (i.e, actions approved by those persons present, no defined members)
- Clarifying the question about online chat groups to better indicate how it relates to the Membership Committee.
Allen will also look again for the comments on the earlier version.
After the second review, it was agreed that we would share the final version with the Steering Committee, and request comments prior to dissemination to the membership list. Sal will draft a cover statement.
- Chairing the Committee: Based on previous discussion and a survey of interest, Allen Nishikawa agreed to serve as the Committee Chair.
- Next Meeting: The May meeting date will be changed to the third Tuesday (May 16th, same time and place) due to a conflict, but will return to the 2nd Tuesday of the month thereafter. Allen requested that members think about what they see as the Committee’s priorities.
