• Participants will apply lessons learned from the ACEs study to their own work with children and families.
• Participants will identify conditions that contribute to resilience for children and families.
Childhood experiences, both positive and negative, have a tremendous impact on future violence, victimization and perpetration, as well as lifelong health and opportunity. The ACEs study, conducted by Kaiser Permanante and the CDC, is one of the largest investigations of childhood abuse and neglect and later-life health and well-being. Learn about this study and its implications for children and families.

She has practiced medicine in Sonoma County since 2000, and is the Family Violence Prevention Champion for Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa.
