Towards a Healing Organization: Viewing of The Wisdom of Trauma

Watch "The Wisdom of Trauma" by Dr. Gabor Maté followed by a discussion with UC Davis Health leadership on applying trauma-informed care.

Advancing a healing-centered organization can best be understood through trauma-informed practices. To better understand the interactions between illness, addiction, and trauma in our society, UC Davis Health is showing the 2021 film The Wisdom of Trauma by Dr. Gabor Maté, followed by a facilitated discussion on how to move towards a healing organization.

The film highlights Dr. Maté's work as a physician who fosters a clearer understanding of trauma's prevalence, symptoms, consequences, and causes so that we can heal ourselves and others.

Attend either in-person or virtually for the viewing of the film and discussion. In-person attendees will enjoy snacks and be entered into a raffle to receive Dr. Maté's latest book, The Myth of Normal.
