Breaking chains: community connections against opioids addiction among veterans

Opioid addiction is a leading concern in America. Many veterans suffer from opioid addiction and it is time we stop this in its tracks. Opioid deaths is now a leading cause of death among injury related deaths. There is a link between doctors prescribing opioids and opioid addiction. In Tennessee alone, opioid prescriptions are at 68.5% which in turn as led to opioid dependency an issue. This intervention will decrease opioid deaths, increase knowledge about mental health and opioid abuse and increase support for veterans recovering from opioid addiction.
