Hi Ventura County ACEs Connection Community,

My name is Linda Yuncker and I wanted to introduce myself as your new Ventura County ACEs Connection Community manager. I am excited to partner with you in helping Ventura County to become a trauma-informed/resilience-building community.

Ventura County is near and dear to my heart because I was born and raised in Oxnard. My sister and I co-owned Tres Jolie Hair Salon at the Oxnard Hilton for 27 years. My husband, Chuck, and I got married in 1984 and moved to Ventura where we made our home and have raised 3 amazing children.

In July of 2015 I was diagnosed with colon cancer. A year prior to my diagnosis I happened upon the documentary series titled "The Truth About Cancer" by Ty Bollinger. When I was diagnosed I felt very confident in choosing a more holistic approach. It was during that healing journey that I was introduced to the ACEs information. I can truly say that this transformed my life.

I am thrilled to report that I am feeling great (two years in remission and counting!) and I am passionate about doing what I can to work with other people to help our Ventura County Community.
