ENDING THE CULTURE OF VIOLENCE
The National Day of Action to End Violence Against Women Living with HIV
Friday, October 23, 2015, 10:00am - 4:00pm
This event is free to attend, light refreshments and lunch will be served
Below is a brief description of what you can look forward to:
The National Day of Action, conceived entirely for and by women with HIV, was created to raise awareness about the effects and prevalence of violence against women living with HIV, break through the culture that keeps this issue in silence, and push for structural changes, including policy changes to eliminate this disparity.
The luncheon agenda includes:
- Observing the National Day of Action by recognizing those who have been impacted by violence;
- Learning more about the intersection of violence, trauma and HIV;
- Discussing ways the HIV community is addressing this intersection; and,
- Exploring opportunities to collaborate and continue the discussion
