We are advocates, trauma survivors, concerned community members, and professionals who share information and develop practical solutions, to support the Washington, DC metro area to become trauma-informed, address sources of adversity, and promote health and resilience.

Join U.S. Senator Heitkamp for breakfast meeting on March 8

Senator Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) will be speaking about efforts she is leading to ensure that federally funded programs incorporate the most recent findings on trauma-informed services, particularly in grant programs for Native Americans. The event’s host, Children’s Law Center, is a leader in advocating for trauma-informed programs in DC, particularly in our public schools.

The law firm of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP is generously hosting this breakfast in their offices at 1333 New Hampshire Avenue, NW from 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM.
