This is what we are asking for... Of the 38,000 incarcerated people in Michigan's prisons, 13,000 were sentenced before their brains were fully developed -- under age 26.

What we now know about childhood trauma and brain science suggests it is inhumane to warehouse so many people (at a taxpayer cost of over $36,000/year) in substandard and often corrupt prisons.
