Free classes explore how addiction affects families [DavisEnterprise.com]

Community members are invited to a free three-part series exploring how addiction affects families.

“Addiction and its Destructive Power in a Family” will run from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursdays, Feb. 11, 18 and 25. The free workshops are presented by the Woodland Community College Foster and Kinship Care Education Program.

....The Feb. 11 class will focus on parental addiction and its impact on a developing fetus and the young child; Feb. 18 will look at the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study (ACES) and the power of resilience; and Feb. 25 will focus on the ramifications of childhood chaos, loss and dysfunction.
