FYI, folks may want to attend “Helping Children Heal,” hosted by the California’s Defense Fund of California (CDF-CA). CDF-CA is launching a new advocacy emphasis: reducing the impact of trauma and adverse childhood events (ACEs) in the cycle of poverty and the cradle-to-prison pipeline.
You are invited to attend kick-off policy forum co-hosted by Children's Defense Fund-California, RYSE Youth Center, and ACEs Connection. We will explore statewide policies, practices, and investments that enable and sustain trauma-informed and healing-centered systems for children and youth. Several Policy Working Group members including Joyce Dorado from UCSF HEARTS, Godwin Higa from Cherokee Point Elementary School, and Ben Rubin from Children Now along with staff from PolicyLink, ACEs Connection, and CYW will be participating.
