Beginning April 2, Legal Services of Northern California will offer evening
intake appointments to individuals who cannot either call or come to our
office during normal business hours. I have attached Spanish and English
versions of a flyer regarding these expanded services -- please feel free to
distribute the flyers far and wide.
Evening appointments are reserved solely for those who cannot make it to us
by phone or in person between 8:30am and 5pm. They are not overflow
appointments for when our office's appointments are full during the day. We
anticipate that the evening invitations will mostly be used by those who
work traditional hours, full-time students, and people with certain
disabilities.
All evening intakes will be handled over the phone. Residents can request an
evening intake appointment either by leaving a message on our evening intake
line (866-815-5990) or contacting our main office line and requesting an
evening appointment (LOCAL OFFICE NUMBER).
We will continue serving low-income and senior residents in a wide variety
of practice areas, including housing, public benefits, health, civil rights,
criminal reentry, naturalization, and some employment matters. Please note
that we do not handle family law cases through our normal intake or evening
intake.
We are excited to make our services more accessible for more residents.
