As some of you may know, Resilient Yolo has decided to postpone the in-person Building a Resilient Yolo Summit (which was scheduled for October 21, 2022 in Woodland). The planning committee is now looking to reschedule the summit to spring 2022 in Woodland. More information to come soon.
In its place, Resilient Yolo will be hosting a virtual workshop series. Each webinar will serve to educate the community about adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). Our intent is that everyone in Yolo County integrates trauma-informed and resilience-building practices into their work, family, community and their individual lives.
Our quarterly workshop series will explore how we can all advance this mission. The Resilient Yolo webinar series will take place on November 5, January 7 and March 4. Each workshop will occur from noon-1 p.m. and will be hosted virtually on Zoom. There is no cost to attend but participants need to register in advance. Registration for the webinar series is available at www.bit.ly/ResilientYoloWorkshops
Our first two workshops will focus on the following subjects:
- The November 5th webinar will provide an "Introduction to ACEs and Resilience" with Susan Jones and Tessa Smith; co-chairs of Resilient Yolo
- The January 7th webinar will focus on "Resilience in Education" with the California Department of Education, Yolo County Office of Education and Woodland Joint Unified School District.
