  • Vaping, Teens, and COVID-19: Scientists surveyed over 2,000 11th and 12th graders’ e-cigarette use and found that students who vaped were more susceptible to lung inflammation and respiratory symptoms. Fernando Holguin, MD, a pulmonologist from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, says that it is likely that vaping could cause COVID-19 to be more severe.
  • Signs of COVID Stress in Kids: Researchers from Norway studied 5,000 students between ages 11-15 and found that kids who reported higher levels of stress were more likely to experience physical symptoms, such as increased headaches, stomach pain, and dizziness. The CDC recommends taking breaks from news coverage, regular exercise, a healthy diet, and meditation to relax.
