Visit us at www.yolojuneteenth.org to get more information and the YouTube link. 2021 marks the 156th anniversary of the official observance of the end of slavery, when the Emancipation Proclamation was read in Galveston, Texas on this date in 1865. The program is a mixture of music, dance, spoken word and some education. If you are unable to make the live event, it will be recorded and available to be viewed at a later date.
