Transition Age Youth (TAY) Conference in March 2020

TAYCON 2020 is the third annual Transition Age Youth (TAY) conference, which will be held on March 2nd and 3rd, 2020, in the City of Industry.  This conference brings together transition age youth and professionals from across the state for collaboration and learning opportunities. This year’s conference theme is “Creating a Web Self-Sufficiency, Stability, and Support”.  We selected this theme because, like superheroes, our youth overcome adversity to discover their potential.  As with superheroes, youth need a web of support to help them succeed, whether it be a trusted friend, mentor, resource family, or extended family-members.

Attached is a flyer with further details about the TAY conference. Please note that we are looking for presenters that fit our theme of self-sufficiency, stability and support as well as emphasis on how technology can assist in the lives of TAY youth. If you have developed a new or innovative TAY-related program or are providing a service that is innovative or is working well addressing challenges with the TAY population we encourage you to submit a Request for Proposal (RFP): https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TAYCON2020Proposals

If you have any questions regarding the RFP or TAYCON please contact the TAY Policy Unit at taypolicy@dss.ca.gov.
