The Be the One webinar will present research and action steps designed to engage community members, agencies, and leaders in trauma/healing and resilience focused work. The overall goal is to present information that will assist agencies, leaders, and community members in building safer, more stable, more nurturing relationships and stronger, healthier communities. This is foundational work and can serve as a base for engaging in broader, deeper discussions on structural, historic, and institutional trauma and the creation of healing within our communities. Lucy Morse Roberts of Family Hui and Natalie Audage of Yolo County Childrenβs Alliance will present this webinar!

In Safe & Sound's 90-minute webinar, presented by Chief Executive Officer Katie Albright and Senior Clinical Projects Director Malcolm Gaines, we will explore the following:
- The relationship between individual, family and community risk factors and protective factors for primary and secondary prevention of early childhood adversities
- Participants' experience using protective factors in their work
- Using protective factor assessments as an essential part of engaging clients and delivering trauma-informed care.
- The cost of child abuse in California and your own county and using the information to inform policy makers about the importance of prevention; and
- Understanding community protective factors to strengthen families.

This 90-minute experiential webinar will introduce and guide participants through practices to reduce stress and raise relaxation, both for themselves and their clients during these extraordinary times. Mindfulness techniques, breathing exercises, guided imagery and other strategies will be taught to help providers, along with the parents/caregivers and children they serve, to cope with the heightened anxieties and uncertainties we are all now facing. This webinar will focus on offering direct practice opportunities during the webinar, to find calm in the moment.
