Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Program (WIOA) enrollment

Yolo County Children's Alliance (YCCA) is currently working to enroll people in our Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Program (WIOA). YCCA is providing this program for Davis, West Sacramento, and Clarksburg residents, but we can refer anyone else in Yolo County to Rise, Inc. in Woodland.

Our goal is to enroll 12 Out of School Youth (OSY) by the end of the month
and we are working hard to find them, but we could use some help! If you know anyone that fits the eligibility requirements below, please contact me at Eric.Blair@yolocounty.org or (530) 902-6027.

Eligibility Requirements:
1)      Yolo County Resident
2)      Legally able to work in the U.S.
3)      17-24 years old
4)      Not currently enrolled in school (With no plans to start soon)
5)      They must also have one or more barriers to be eligible for the program:

A)    Currently in foster care
B)    A high school dropout
C)    Been through the justice system
D)    Homeless
E)     Pregnant or Parenting

Currently we have no space for youth that are currently attending school,
but if they are graduating soon with no plans for higher education lined up
we may be able to enroll them after they graduate.

Attached is the WIOA Flyer. Please contact me with any questions.

Thank you for your help!
