Tracy Fauver, executive director of Yolo County CASA, hosted a lunch meeting on Tuesday with California CASA officials CEO Cory Pohley, program manager Karen Finan, and legal director Phil Ladew so that Gail Kennedy and I could talk with them about how organizations and agencies are using ACES and how ACEs Connection supports communities that are becoming trauma-informed.
We talked about how we could help inform CASA organizations throughout California about ACEs, and how ACEs Connection can support CASA in its efforts to inform child welfare systems, the legal profession, social service agencies and courts about ACEs and trauma-informed practices.
We had a great conversation. It was another step in making connections with other people who are very committed to preventing childhood adversity, and to changing systems so that they stop traumatizing already traumatized children and adults.
