Public Charge information for immigrants from California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation
Recent changes to public charge policies have caused families to disenroll from public benefits, and others have delayed applying for immigration relief. At the California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation (CRLAF), we believe that we must fight the fear and confusion with facts. Everyone has rights in this country, especially in the state of California, no matter their immigration status, to access health care and certain public benefits. To help families and community advocates better understand changes to public charge, CRLAF has created a short training video in Spanish entitled Carga Pública: ¿Qué es y se aplica a mí?We have also divided the longer 15 minute training into easier shorter videos:
- Parte I: ¿Qué es la prueba de carga pública?
- Parte II: ¿A quién se aplica la prueba de carga pública?
- Parte III: ¿Cómo funciona la prueba de carga pública?
At this time, the videos are only available in Spanish, and we hope to have videos available in English soon. Please help us distribute this information widely. By informing ourselves, we can not only untangle the mess of public charge policies, but also dispel rumors, misconceptions, and fears among our community.
For any immigration questions or free consultations, please refer individuals to CRLAF's mainline (916) 446-7901.

Then when any member of the group goes shopping, they can open the app and see all the shared lists. As you procure an item for a neighbor, you can cross it off the list just by tapping it. AnyList app is available from Apple or Android app stores.
