Yolo County Library is celebrating Día de los Niños/ Día de los Libros, a
FREE community event that emphasizes the importance of literacy for children
from all backgrounds.
Through Día, Yolo County Library works to:
* Celebrate children and connect them to the world of learning through
books, stories and libraries.
* Nurture cognitive and literacy development in ways that honor and
embrace a child’s home language and culture.
* Introduce families to resources that provide opportunities for
learning through multiple literacies.
* Recognize and respect culture, heritage and language as powerful
tools for strengthening families and communities.
You are invited! Attend one or more of our events, and reserve a table
where you will have space to share information, resources, and services your
organization offers to our communities.
This is a fun way to connect families with young children to important
resources. Please consider bringing a craft or fun item to share with the
children.
