Yolo Welltopia: A Novel Health Website Promoting Local, Free or Low Cost Credible Resources

Welltopia (www.MyWelltopia.com), a partnership between the California Department of Health Care Services and the UC Davis Institute for Population Health Improvement has exciting news for Yolo County!

A brand new localized site, Yolo Welltopia (www.MyWelltopia.com/Yolo) is here, thanks to a partnership with ACEs Connection Network, Yolo Resilience Network, Yolo County Health and Human Services Agency, and Yolo County 2-1-1. The purpose of the collaboration is to leverage state and local efforts to connect Yolo community members with trauma-informed and resilience-building resources that address the leading causes of preventable mortality and address the social aspects of health.

Welltopia, created with and informed by Medi-Cal members, especially moms, is a place for all Californians to find free, credible and reliable resources related to whole person health – mind, body & spirit.

Now residents of Yolo County can find low or no cost resources addressing all aspects of health and well-being, ranging from tips for healthful eating and getting active, quitting smoking, finding a job, social support, health insurance coverage, parenting and mindfulness classes, and so much more, all located right in their community.

The “Contact Us” form (http://mywelltopia.com/contact-us/) allows community members to share additional resources that can be reviewed and added to the website.

Yolo Welltopia is a platform for community members to connect with local health-promoting efforts and find tools and support for living full, healthful lives. Visit www.MyWelltopia.com/Yolo today and share with colleagues, clients, friends, and family members!
