Steering Group and Action Group Organizational Description
Roles and Responsibilities of Steering Group (SG) Members
- Commit to serve for a 6, 8, or 12 month term. Co-chairs of SG to serve for 6 month terms.
- Attend monthly SG meetings
- Lead or co-lead an action group (some of these will be sector specific, others may be a different project, i.e. toolkit)
- Participate in another action group to ensure SG representation on every work group
- Present brief monthly action group updates to the SG (for the group you are the lead on)
- Co-organize and co-lead quarterly Community meeting, once yearly (including: planning agenda, reaching out for speakers as needed, advertising community meeting, summarizing and posting notes from meeting)
- Identify sector experts for Assets Map and Speakers Bureau
- Review and update Assets Map quarterly for the sector you are lead on
- Conduct ACEs 101 presentations & provide examples for training materials, as needed
- Identify/ Post stories on YRN website &/or facilitate identifying good sources for success stories
- Report about YRN out to community

YRN Action Groups (requires at least one SG member participating)
Action group: Operations (Gail, Julie, Anna, Tracy, Regan)
Responsibilities for this action group include:
- Two members to serve as Co-Chairs of the SG (one acting as Group Manager – see ‘Group Managers Roles and Responsibilities’ document)
- Organize and lead monthly SG meetings (agenda, posting calendar, rotating leading meetings, notes of meetings and posting to site)
- Coordinate self-care practice at each meeting
- Assets map updating – distributed to SG members prior to SG meeting & updating during SG sector reports
- Seek and coordinate application for funding opportunities
- Support development of new action groups, as needed
- Oversee evaluation and performance measures for YRN
- Conduct surveys for YRN members, when needed
- Update organizational documents for group (SG, workgroups, etc.) as needed

Action group: Community Outreach & Events (Julie, Tracy)
Coordinate ACEs presentations & ACEs 101 trainings, new member welcome & link with workgroups, delivery of wrap around trainings, development and maintenance of Speakers Bureau & sector champions, community events

- Medical and Behavioral Health (Julie, Anna & Sara) - Goal - Reach out to the Yolo community healthcare and behavioral health professionals to introduce, inform and provide resources about ACEs and Resilience. Work with programs currently available and identify areas of need. Identify speakers, place updates and stories on the YRN website, and keeping YRN Steering Committee and community updated on the group’s progress and plans
