Over the past year, Strategies 2.0 has addressed in the Capital Learning community: non-profit advocacy, engaging the grassroots, and mobilizing in preparation for and response to disasters. Now is our opportunity to join colleagues from around the region to build on this foundation, with focused, shared learning and advocacy to move the needle on key issues facing our families and communities. Strategies 2.0 Senior Trainer Troy Nichols will share information and reflection on the needs of our region and facilitate the generation of ideas for building community resilience. This will be our launching point to develop plans for concrete, shared action toward change in our region.
Goals for the day include:
* Learn about Adverse Community Environments, and how they connect to Adverse Childhood Experiences.
* Review and compare data on child and family well-being between and among counties around our region.
* Generate possibilities for shared strategies to build community resilience in our counties and region.
* Generate plans and priorities for shared learning and action to effect change in our region.
