PARENT SUPPORT GROUP: Empower Yolo support group for non-offending caregivers of sexually abused children
Group will be held weekly on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30pm. Group will be located at the Empower Yolo West Sacramento office on 1025 Triangle Court, Suite 600. Groups will begin at the end of January and will continue for 8 weeks through the end of March. Through IMPACT, YCCA is providing coaching for family, friend, and neighbor child care providers using the Nurturing Parenting Curriculum. This course seeks to provide support and training to caregivers of children, including parents, foster parents and family, friends, and neighbors in the community who provide child care. Foster & Kinship Care Education is presenting a new parenting series with classes offered once a month, starting tomorrow morning at 10:30am. Please pass this along to any parent who you believe would benefit from these trainings. The focus will be on children who have experienced trauma and, of course, on children in foster care.
