Film screening of California's Forgotten Children on 4/16
California's Forgotten Children will be shown in Woodland on April 16th. This event is FREE and open to educators, those who work with at-risk youth, parents, youth serving organizations, and community members who wish to learn more about child sex trafficking. Woodland United Way is working with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to provide free books to all 2019 Woodland newborns. Each month a new book will be mailed to the child's home. Yolo Under the Rainbow, CommuniCare’s LGBTQI+ youth group is excited to celebrate Pride month! In 2019, The Family Wellness Center began hosting our first LGBTQI+ group in September. Through IMPACT, YCCA is providing coaching for family, friend, and neighbor child care providers using the Nurturing Parenting Curriculum. This course seeks to provide support and training to caregivers of children, including parents, foster parents and family, friends, and neighbors in the community who provide child care.
