Hello all,

I would like to learn more about how to teach parents/caregivers how to better cope with their own past trauma experiences and not project their experiences onto their children especially during times of crisis.  Does anyone have any thoughts?  Where is a good place to start with such a big topic? Looking forward to learning.

Thank you.

HI Lindi- Sorry it has taken so long to answer your question but the you will find incredibly useful is the Parenting with ACEs group on ACEs Connection.  There are lots of resources on exactly that important topic.  And right here in Yolo County Family Hui has recognized the need to address parent/caregiver past experiences and has incorporated information about ACEs into its curriculum and healing and self-care exercises in as well.
