SUMMARY
This session will build the capacity of providers serving families with young children (physicians, behavioral health clinicians, social workers, case managers) to approach family interactions with a protective factors framework. As California implements its initiative to screen for Adverse Childhood Experiences Statewide, providers experience significant gaps in knowledge about best practices to engage families in the screening process in a way that supports healing. The Five Protective Factors Framework, when integrated with ACEs screening, provides a strength-based approach to develop these best practices hand in hand with families. **Please Note: Attendees would benefit from attending a core training prior to the webinar but it is not a requirement. You can learn more about the ACEs Aware initiative here.
