What is your interest in PACEs and resilience science?
As the only Behavior Specialist for my district, I am finding that the bulk of my caseload is comprised of students with trauma histories. My role is to consult with and train teachers, administrators and other school staff to understand and work more sensitively and effectively with students who have challenging behavior -- especially those who are acting out the stressors of trauma. I am working to start a trauma-sensitive schools initiative in my district.
