What is your interest in PACEs and resilience science?
As a scientist-practitioner, I aim to understand the role of ACEs in the development of mental health to help interrupt the cascade of ACEs from one generation to the next. As an educator, I aim to increase awareness of ACEs and the factors that strengthen and build resilience in children and families. My research lab "Regulation and Resilience" focuses on studying trauma at multiple levels and the factors that build resilience, with a focus on emotion-regulation processes. My research philosophy is grounded in community engagement and dissemination of evidence-based practices.
