What is your interest in PACEs and resilience science?
My interest in ACEs is multifaceted. I have a high ACE score and recognize multi-generational ACES in my own family, as well as the impact of ACEs. As a former teacher, I knew that childhood adversity impacted children's behavior in the classroom. ACEs has given me a framework for having a better understanding of trauma-informed ways of working with children when their behaviors. Recently, I completed a Master's program in counseling psychology and am awaiting my MFTi intern number. I am looking forward to combining my experience and education in providing trauma-informed therapy for children. ACEs concepts are foundational to the work that I am doing with children now, and will be in the future as I continue to learn more about ACEs, and the ACEs data and field grows.
