What is it you do for a living? (Parenting, volunteering, CEO of social service organization, etc.)

Parent of trauma-affected children, Church Liaison for Intermountain

What organization(s) do you volunteer or work for?

Intermountain Residential Services

What is your interest in PACEs and resilience science?

I worked as a chaplain to children in an intensive residential treatment facility, there because of their emotional disturbance from 2012-2020. I am now engaged in the Church liaison work and advocacy with Intermountain's faith-based supporters. I champion greater inclusion of children with ACEs and adult survivors of trauma in the life and ministry of the church. I have written a devotional called "Hope for Healing" which covers my time as chaplain at Intermountain as well as a curriculum for adults entitled "Bruised Reeds and Smoldering Wicks" as a way to introduce trauma-informed principles to faith communities. It has gone out to ministries in 35 states and 5 foreign countries and can be ordered here: https://intermountain.givingfuel.com/sunday-school-curriculum-signup-form
