What is your interest in PACEs and resilience science?
I was assaulted at a fraternity party back in 2012. This started me on the path of unwinding a very twisted thread of complex traumas that have woven throughout my lifetime. I've grown up with a hyper religious background but also chronically ill, so with a strong background in science. I've learned to see dualities in life. ACEs have touched so many people I come in contact with but so many of them are unaware that they are "deserving" to be under the label of having "trauma" in their backgrounds. We, as millennials have been traumatized. We all, for the most part, have seen countless terror attacks, shootings, domestic violence discrepancies.. all from our cell phones... not to mention what goes on in our day to day lives. How could we not be? As a whole, we need more empathy and self compassion. I'd love to help use the knowledge I have gleaned over the years in whatever way possible to help.
