What is your interest in PACEs and resilience science?
My ACE score is a six. I’ve had a great deal of success and failure in life and set out on a journey to understand myself better. Through my research, I realized that my face is among those of my students over a 20 year career that wanted to give their best but their trauma was in the way. I want to help schools, prisons, and homeless individuals become aware of ACES and arm them with knowledge and tools to begin to heal like me.
If you're part of a community-based PACEs initiative, which one?
I want to start one but we have a small one through a local children’s support agency. I want a much broader audience.
