What is your interest in PACEs and resilience science?
As a social worker in the emergency department, I frequently encounter children and adults who have been affected by trauma. I seek to provide trauma-informed care to the children and families I meet as they are in the midst of their trauma. Additionally, as I evaluate adult patients presenting to the ED with mental health concerns, I wish to be better equipped to incorporate evaluation of childhood trauma in my assessment of their presenting problem.
