What organization(s) do you volunteer or work for?
Calaveras Mentoring- a growing, established program for youth and young adults in Calaveras county. We have 4 mentoring programs we support: ILP (Independent Living Program) a program we have incorporated mentors into for our young adult foster youth, AIM (Adventures in Mentoring) our new young adult group mentoring program for 16-21 year-olds, our CYMP (our foundation program of 17 years, the Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program) where youth 1st through 12th grade are recommended and voluntarily matched one-on-one with mentors. Finally we have our FNL (Friday Night Live) Mentoring program which is school based where high school juniors and seniors mentor middle schoolers.
What is your interest in PACEs and resilience science?
I learned about Dana Brown on a California Mentoring Partnership call last month and I really wanted to find more resources on Trauma-informed mentoring.
