What is your interest in PACEs and resilience science?
This directly correlates to my care of patients and education of nursing students. Working with refugees recently arrived to the US, there are so many traumas these individuals have faced. Their adjustment to life in the US is so different from their previous experiences, it is important to help them adjust and help those led to serve this vulnerable population to understand and serve with a trauma-informed lens. Supporting their positive experiences is key to creating a positive environment for them to grow and thrive in their new homes.
