I am a PhD Student/Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant. I am also a biological, adoptive, and foster parent.
What organization(s) do you volunteer or work for?
I work for the University of Florida; I volunteer with the Pearl Project and the Marion County Foster and Adoptive Parents Association.
What is your interest in PACEs and resilience science?
My initial interest in ACEs began as I started to research trauma as it related to the children in foster care who were coming into my home. Currently, I am studying Youth Development and Family Science at the doctoral level, specializing in childhood trauma. I am also in the process of getting my Trust-Based Relational Intervention Practitioner credential.
